Listening task practice
Class 2: This class goes around a listening where some people describe plans they have for the night. Work first on vocabulary clarifying the content present and make ss come up with their own examples. When it is clear, make SS copy the questions, listen and answer the questions. Liste to it two times. Then, check the answers and show them script to clarify the pronunciation. If you have time, make them use the language and create their own description of trips. Class 5: Explain that listening is an ability that requires time for practice. The way to do it is listening to the input and then clarifying things that are not clear. Sometimes it is a process of going back and forward until sections are clear. Try to give examples using words that are difficult to understand such as monosyllables with consonant clusters. Indicate that are a number of accents and that a learner should work on understanding them. Then, work on general mistakes and give recommendations to practice. If you have extra time, practic using the following link.
